Rules

SoloScape is a fan-made tribute, not a Jagex product. Our rules are intentionally lighter than the official OSRS ruleset — we trust adults to manage their own accounts and trades. Breaking the rules below can still lead to warnings, mutes, suspensions, or permanent removal from the game and forums.

Account freedoms

The things OSRS bans you for that we don't:

1. Multiple accounts are fine. Run as many alts, pures, skillers, or test accounts as you want. Mark a primary if you'd like — otherwise just play.
2. Account trading is allowed. Sell, buy, or swap accounts however you want. Just don't pretend to be someone you aren't in chat or on the forums.
3. Account sharing is allowed. Share with friends, family, or duos — whatever works for you. You're responsible for any conduct breaches that happen on your account, no matter who was at the keyboard.
4. Real-world trading is allowed. Selling gold, items, or services for real money is your business. SoloScape doesn't intervene in player-to-player money deals; we don't endorse them either, and we won't recover anything lost in a private sale.

Automation policy

Automation that enhances the experience is fine. Automation that replaces playing the game is not.

1. Allowed: click-savers, AHK macros that re-bind keys, chat scripts, simple repeat-action helpers, anything that reduces wrist strain or improves quality of life while you're actively playing.
2. Not allowed: running a bot or full macro to grind XP, GP, or items while you're not at the keyboard — or in a way that lets one player effectively run dozens of accounts at once. If your "automation" is doing the playing for you, it's a bot.
3. Anti-cheat applies. The server flags impossibly consistent click cadence, 24/7 sessions, and impossible XP rates. Repeated flags lead to a ban-wave queue and eventual auto-ban. Appeal at /appeal if you think a flag was wrong.
4. No exploiting the economy. Bots that abuse the GE, drop-trade chains, or anything that floods the market with manufactured wealth will be removed.

Player conduct

This part is the same as OSRS — treat people the way you'd want to be treated.

1. Be respectful in chat. Slurs, threats, doxxing, and targeted harassment are not tolerated.
2. No scamming. Trades and Grand Exchange offers are binding once confirmed. Trust trades happen at your own risk.
3. No impersonating staff, Jagex employees, or other players. Mod and Admin crowns are auto-rendered — nobody legitimate will ask you to "verify" your password.
4. No exploiting bugs. Report them at /report and we'll usually thank you for it.
5. Keep public chat readable. Light spam is annoying, persistent spam is a mute.
6. Stay safe. SoloScape staff will never ask for your password, your bank PIN, or your account credentials.

Forum and report etiquette

1. Post in the right section. Bug reports go in bug-reports, suggestions in suggestions, etc.
2. Don't spam duplicate threads, impersonate staff, or post misleading "official"-looking announcements.
3. When reporting bugs or exploits, include enough detail for staff to reproduce the issue safely.
4. Don't post other people's personal information.

Enforcement

Most rule breaks start with a warning or a short mute. Repeat offenses escalate to temporary suspensions, then to permanent bans on the account — and on related accounts when staff identify clear coordination (e.g. multiple accounts run from the same IP all flagged for the same bot pattern). Appeals at /appeal are read by a human within 7 days.
